Private-pay service

Occupational Therapy

A private-pay pathway focused on the ordinary moments where independence is built — getting dressed, sitting through a meal, holding a pencil, managing a loud room.

This is a private-pay service. Occupational therapy at Look Up Therapy is not billed to insurance. That removes the authorization queue and the risk of a benefit denial, and it means the family is responsible for the cost of care. Ask the intake team for current rates before you schedule.

What occupational therapy addresses

Pediatric occupational therapy is about participation. When a child struggles to join a routine that other children move through easily, an occupational therapist works out why — sensory processing, motor planning, strength, coordination, attention, or the demands of the environment itself — and then builds skill and adapts the routine.

  • Sensory regulation and responses to noise, texture, and movement
  • Fine motor development and handwriting readiness
  • Self-care routines including dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Feeding, mealtime participation, and food range
  • Motor planning, coordination, and play skills
  • Classroom participation and school-day routines

How the private-pay pathway works

Because there is no insurance authorization step, onboarding is usually shorter than for ABA. You still complete an intake, an occupational therapist still completes an evaluation, and goals are still written with your family — but the funding step is a straightforward conversation about rates and scheduling rather than a wait on a third party.

Some families use occupational therapy alongside ABA. When that happens, the clinicians coordinate so the two plans reinforce each other instead of pulling a child in different directions.
