Community outings

When you're ready to venture out, we help your loved one be ready, too.

Unable to rush out to the grocery store. Difficulty hosting playtime with other children or rushing through dinner outside the home. Is this you?

We understand how challenging it is to manage everyday tasks when a loved one has difficulty handling loud noises or crowds of people. And we want to change that.

We believe creating a community is essential for developing coping skills, engaging with new environments, practicing communications skills, and more.

Getting started is straightforward:

  • Let us observe how your loved one with autism, ADHD or other diagnoses interacts at sporting events, school, stores, or other social outings.

  • Our therapists will provide the service and a specific plan to make engaging in the community enjoyable for the whole family.

Providing prioritized support:

  • We support parents and caregivers by teaching tools and techniques that can help decrease a child's challenging behaviors across varying settings.

  • Meanwhile, our clients learn self-regulation skills and learn how to improve their reactions to their environments and other stimuli.

When our clients are ready, we offer outings to help children gain exposure to others in an educational environment. Excursions may include visiting the local zoo or participating in a nature walk.

One major bonus is that families gain the chance to network with others who face similar circumstances. Another is that children become children again.

Together, with improved social skills and reduced behaviors and limitations, clients and caregivers become able to do more of what they love.

Achieving personal, social and community goals

We know this journey can be scary for parents and children, and we are here every step of the way.
